[Bug 557611] New: Unable to make any search using field Search All Notes in Tomboy.
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=557611 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=557611#c0 Summary: Unable to make any search using field Search All Notes in Tomboy. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: toomany@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; es-ES; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4 You make click-left over tomboy icon, this show you a menu with the Search in All Notes option. When you select this option a windows appears with a Search field, and under this field an "inside window" with all of your records. Ok. In my tomboy app, the field Search appears with a grey colour (the same color like the menus of this window), and I cannot able to put any text inside it. Curiosly, if I change the session to IceWM or Gnome it's works fine, without any problem. The problem (important) is under KDE4. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. left-click over tomboy icon. 2. mark Search in All Notes. Actual Results: The same described above. Expected Results: Search field in colour white and ready to type anything to find. Sorry for the "severity", but I work a lot of with Tomboy, and I have a lot of notes into it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Changing GTK+ theme to Clearlooks makes the bug go away. Changing back to QtCurve makes the bug reappear.
I'm trying this with Clearlooks and runs fine
However, selecting some other GTK+ themes like Crux and Gilouche also causes the bug to occur, even though those themes work fine with Tomboy when using GNOME instead of KDE.
At this moment this solutions works fine and make usable the application without running it with the "--search "something"" flag. I hope the KDE guys solve this little problem. Thank you very much for your job and interest.
