In addition, we should think about starting pulseaudio as the root daemon.
Otherwise the multi-user switching won't work well, I suppose.
There can be the following options as sound-setups:
A. PA running as root in init
B. PA running at each login as each user
C. PA running with dmix config, started dynamically
D. PA not installed
On 11.0, GNOME uses the case B. KDE and others are supposed to be the case C,
but actually it's not. PA use "hw" device and takes the whole access. The
case D is needed for the system using JACK.
So, we need to define a system-wide setting about these, maybe via sysconfig.
In the case of B, PA is started at login and alsa-plugins-pulse is set for the
default ALSA I/O, too. In the case of C, alsa-plugins-pulse shouldn't be used
but dmix is set up for PA configuration.
Rodrigo, any good way to change PA config dynamically?
