Indeed, looking at netcf source, using the persist_net_rules-pre-os113.aug does
fix it.
However, all this stuff is grossly wrong, as it depends on a certain ordering
in the udev rule, which is not necessarily guaranteed.
udev does not care if I write
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*",
ATTR{address}=="00:50:8d:b0:9c:c7", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*",
NAME="eth0"
or
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{type}=="1",
ATTR{address}=="00:50:8d:b0:9c:c7", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth0"
but netcf does. And that's terminally broken IMNSHO.
Why does netcf care for udev rules at all?
