Patrick, that's yours?
Peter, sorry for the slow response. I somehow missed this message. I'll look into it. This is just off the top of my head as this was done over a year ago. Not saying there isn't a problem but netcf attempts to do what yast does when an interface gets added and that includes installing the udev rule for the interface. The alternative of not touching it would have broke. So is the bug that the augeas filter for the persistent udev rule is dependent on the order of the attributes of the udev rule? The pre-os113 filter should not solve anything. It deals with the old udev rules having 1 less attribute but has the same order issue. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

NETCF_DEBUG=true /usr/sbin/libvirtd -l
warning: augeas initialization had errors please file a bug with the following lines in the bug report: /augeas/files/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules/error = "parse_failed" /augeas/files/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules/error/pos = "482" /augeas/files/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules/error/line = "11" /augeas/files/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules/error/char = "0" /augeas/files/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules/error/lens = "/usr/share/netcf/lenses/persist_net_rules.aug:41.10-.32:" /augeas/files/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules/error/message = "Iterated lens matched less than it should" 12:56:22.092: 15945: error : interfaceNumOfDefinedInterfaces:229 : internal error failed to get number of defined interfaces on host (netcf: unspecified error - errors in loading some config files)
This is on a 11.4 that was updated from 11.3
Is the old persistent rules udev file maintained across an update without updating the entries for the additional attribute that typically appears in an 11.4 rule? ATTR{dev_id}? If its legal for the udev rule to not include this attribute in 11.4? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
