Thanks. Then the problem is likely in the kernel (or its close).
I have no idea what triggers this, since you reported it didn't happen on 10.3.
At least, it doesn't matter for the sound driver whether it's a battery or a
AC mode.
Does this pop noise happen if you do "cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#*"? Or is
it just only at playback?
And do you see any difference in codec#* proc file before and during the
playback?
