--- Comment #3 from Thomas Fehr 2007-10-11 02:47:42 MST ---
The fist call to probe call to hwinfo for disks returns no disks:
2007-10-09 18:26:13 <1> 192.168.1.1(3311) [YCP] StorageDevices.ycp:447
localProbe: disks probed
2007-10-09 18:26:13 <1> 192.168.1.1(3311) [YCP] StorageDevices.ycp:448
localProbe: all_disks []
This causes the popup with the "No disks found" test.
Another call to hwinfo for disks about a minute later shows disks to be
present:
2007-10-09 18:27:33 <1> 192.168.1.1(3311) [YCP] StorageDevices.ycp:447
localProbe: disks probed
2007-10-09 18:27:33 <1> 192.168.1.1(3311) [YCP] StorageDevices.ycp:448
localProbe: all_disks [$["bios_id":"0x80", "bus":"IDE", "bus_hwcfg":"ide",
"class_id":262, "dev_name":"/dev/hda", "dev_names
2007-10-09 18:27:33 <1> 192.168.1.1(3311) [YCP] StorageDevices.ycp:469
localProbe: disk $["bios_id":"0x80", "bus":"IDE", "bus_hwcfg":"ide",
"class_id":262, "dev_name":"/dev/hda", "dev_names":["/d
2007-10-09 18:27:33 <1> 192.168.1.1(3311) [YCP] StorageDevices.ycp:486
localProbe: is_zip false notready:false softraid false
Steffen could you check how this can be possible.
Most probably this is a hardware or kernel problem causing this massive delay
in initialisation of the disk. I have seen other cases where the new SATA
code did not recognize disk that were successfully recognized in 10.2 kernel.
