Have you tried to leave the wireless enabled before the suspend? The function key enables / disables both, bluetooth and wireless lan. I could try to unload the bluetooth module and keep the wireless lan enabled.
What machine is this? Fujitsu Lifebook A530
Also, does it matter whether or not there is a suspend-resume (suspend-to-RAM) cycle before hibernation? I will test this in detail. I know that after reboot this problem exists and also after several suspend / resumes if I forgot to disable bluetooth / wireless then (kernel 11.4 standard to stable 3.0.7).
I have to add that it is not clear in which state the system is after a non-successful resume. Now I got back to KDE, but with oops messages. The system is not that stable then.
