Hello,
In my ongoing quest to clean up our ARM packages I have submitted the sunxi-tools package from devel:ARM:Factory:Contrib:sunxi to hardware project and am proposing its inclusion in Factory.
For now I made Dirk and myself maintainers, Dirk being the original packager and me the last one to update. I've updated it to the latest release and cleaned up the spec file, preparing it for aarch64. For anyone experimenting with the Pine64 additional patches may be needed, I could not test that myself (yet). Matthias? As these tools are primarily for board bring-up, I do not see a need to add an _aggregate in :Contrib:sunxi. Seeing that the last two updates were done by myself, it doesn't seem to be in heavy use anyway. With this package gone, there are two main ones left in https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/devel:ARM:Factory:Contrib:sunxi * kernel-sun4i, last updated two years ago, and * u-boot-hyundaia7hd, not updated for more than a year (v2014.04). In early 2015 Hyundai_A7HD config was merged into U-Boot so I have submitted an SR to enable it in the official package. Once it's accepted and _links are in place, we can delete the old Contrib package. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/359208 JeOS-cubieboard and JeOS-cubieboard2 are built in Factory these days, and given the old state of the kernel I assume it is no longer used? If someone wants to play with Mali then a KMP may be a better approach. Opinions, objections?
