Hey, I have a desktop and laptop, both running Slackware 13 with Xorg 1.6.3. My desktop having an x1650 pro, works fine with 3d acceleration with radeonHD, no peoblems (Yay!). however, my ThinkPad T60 has an x1300 pci express (not integrated) card. I'm having some serious problems getting 3D Acceleration to work with this card. I figured it should be as simple as the x1650... I've tried using EXA and XAA acceleration with AccelMethod in my device section. here is my current xorg.conf, it is very minimalistic: ------------------------------ --- Section "Module" Load "dbe" Load "glx" Load "dri" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "External" Option "RightOf" "Panel" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Panel" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "MyCard" Driver "radeonhd" Option "monitor-VGA_1" "External" Option "monitor-PANEL" "Panel" Option "RROutputOrder" "PANEL" Option "AccelMethod" "XAA" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "MyScreen" Device "MyCard" DefaultDepth 24 SubSection "Display" Depth 24 ## This is superfluous and actually harmful with a ## static configuration. Enable for dynamic config only. #Virtual 2704 1050 EndSubSection EndSection --------------------------------- When i run glxinfo | grep render, I get Direct Rendering: Yes, and also OpenGL Render string: Software rasterizer. However, I did notice something a little strange in my xorg log. It seems that DRI buffers were loaded with RadeonHD, however right after it mentions that it couldnt load the DRI buffers, and disables DRI. Curious if anyone else might have had this issue, or know what might be wrong? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
