When I awoke this morning, my screen refused to unblank. I could see the backlight had come on, but no video. This persisted over 3 ctl+alt+backspace and startx attempts, and I finally gave up and rebooted. In between sessions, tty1 worked completely normal.
The only error in /var/log/Xorg.0.log is the lack of /usr/lib/r600-dri.so radeonhd is 1.2.5, locally built on April 9th from git pulls, based on the attached script, run as root.
This is probably difficult to debug :-( I haven't seen anything like that on RV610.
Q1: As this is now the end of may, do we now have this missing library needed for HD2400 Pro (rv610) cards?
3D support is still in a very early stage and not for the faint of heart.
Q2: And has this blanking problem, which I believe is also related to the blanking going wild if I slide a window so as to project a portion of it beyond the right hand border of the monitors display, a condition which also requires a reboot to fix, been fixed?
Please rephrase - I'm not exactly sure what this issue is. And it's probably unrelated.
Q3: I see the fedora 10 repo now has a radeonhd-1.2.5 rpm, several weeks newer than my local build, should I let yum install it?
What is your current version? Current git is already post 1.2.5, but
most commits are related to HDMI, power management, and fixing cursor
glitches.
