I recently bought a (relatively inexpensive) ASUS ATI card, and it appears to lack support in the radeonhd driver. (I have been able to use the binary drivers from ATI, but poor 2D acceleration is driving me nuts.) I'm running Ubuntu 'intrepid' / 8.10, and trying the radeonhd driver version 1.2.1-2build2 that they provide. While that version is indicated to support RV620 / Radeon HD 3450, the PCI ID of this card is not in the supported list (/usr/share/xserver-xorg/pci/radeonhd.ids) -- the IDs immediately sequentially before and after this one are there, and manually adding the ID doesn't work (though that was a long shot). Is there some known issue with this card, or is there something I can do to enable a workaround? (I have searched google (generally), the mailing list archives, and bugzilla to no avail.)
