No, radeonhd currently has no non-RandR multihead setup code ATM.

In that case: bad luck. Either one is necessary for many configuration setups. The RandR mode handling is at least partially broken.
* My second head is an IBM P202 20" CRT. A shared desktop spanning a 17" lcd and 20" crt just does not look good, and RandR isn't much for doing seperate desktops.
You can use multiple screen sections and a standard Xinerama-style
multihead setup. It won't work with 3d, but as we don't have that ATM...
There are several descriptions how to do that on the web. Just google
for Xinerama.
