Hey Pat, I have a very similar laptop to you (the e1505 with an x1300 mobility) 1) Check out this page: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-radeonhd/commit/?id=891e3... 2) Noticing in your xlog (WW) RADEONHD(0): ************************************************** (WW) RADEONHD(0): ** Code has been built without AtomBIOS support ** (WW) RADEONHD(0): ** this may seriously affect the functionality *** (WW) RADEONHD(0): ** of this driver *** (WW) RADEONHD(0): ************************************************** I see problems with that; my working configuration supplies no such warning. I would suspect that is a possible cause of your issues. Best of luck, Brian Tate Patrick Winnertz wrote:
Hey,
I've tried today the lastest git checkout but ran into problems with a Radeon Mobility X1300 in my Dell Inspiron 6400. I've looked into the rhd_id.c and found that this here:
{ 0x7149, 0x1028, 0x2003, "Mobility Radeon X1300", PANEL_B_VGA_A0, { 0, 0, 0xF9F, 0x000, 0x03, 0x19, 0x1F4}},
fits very good for my card. (The only thing I changed was the String "Mobility Radeon X1300". ).
Here is the output of conntest:
Checking connectors on 0x7149, 0x1028, 0x2003 (@01:00:00): Load Detection: RHD_OUTPUT_NONE HotPlug: RHD_HPD_NONE DDC: RHD_DDC_NONE LVDS Info: 18bits, dual link, LDI Panel found. Power Timing: 0xF9F, 0x000, 0x03, 0x19, 0x1F4 Macro: 0x0C720407, Clock Pattern: 0x0063
As you see the options are fitting quite well.
At least I uploaded the Xorg.0.log to my host: http://www.der-winnie.de/~winnie/Xorg.0.log.old in order to provide the log informations ;-)
I hope I was able to help with this status/bug report here. If you need any other additional informations about my system etc. whatever, please write me a email.
Greetings Patrick Winnertz
