Hey, I am having trouble applying the udf patch from packet-0.0.2d-pre1 to the linux-udf source tree I retrived via cvs. Actually, when I cd to the newly created udf directory, and call patch < ../packet-0.0.2d/udf-cdrw-1509.diff, I get the following error message: *** can't find file to patch at input line 8 Perhaps you should have used the -p or --strip option? The text leading up to this was: -------------------------- |Index: linux-2.4/balloc.c |=================================================================== |RCS file: /cvsroot/linux-udf/udf/linux-2.4/balloc.c,v |retrieving revision 1.12.2.3 |diff -u -r1.12.2.3 balloc.c |--- linux-2.4/balloc.c 2000/06/21 18:30:19 1.12.2.3 |+++ linux-2.4/balloc.c 2000/09/15 01:02:33 -------------------------- File to patch: *** If I type the name in (in this case, linux-2.4/balloc.c), the patch applies. I get to a point where it wants to patch files in the src subdirectory that do not exist in the udf source tree. What gives?
