restarting plasmashell is a work-a-round, somewhat like a round tuit. you have a problem, provide information about when it happens, what is running, what seems to make it happen, what *you* have tried that helps or does not help.
Just to add my two cents to this topic.... I had this same problem in another distro, as did many people on that distro at the time. Switching from sddm to lightdm seemed to solve it. Install lightdm and either the lightdm-kde-greeter or the lightdm-gtk-greeter then systemctl enable lightdm.service systemctl stop sddm.service start lightdm.service systemctl disable sddm.service Then reboot to see that it all works. This solved it, and some where along the way since that time. KDE subsequently found and fixed the problem which turned out to be some invisible remnant of a crashed window overlaying the screen capturing mouse clicks and keystrokes. It was also more common among users of dual monitor systems. That distro is running Plasma 5.10.2 and KDE Frameworks 5.35 and Qt 5.9.0, all of which are much much newer than I have on Leap 42.2 which shows Plasma 5.8.6 and KDE Frameworks 5.26 and QT 5.6.1 Hint: run kinfocenter -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
