Hi,
kernel-default-4.4.46-11.1.x86_64 breaks suspend to disk for me.
Works for me... What are the exact symptoms, where does it fail? What hardware do you have? Have you tried doing it in text mode?
4.4.36 works (it's just very slow).
What are my options? Can I tell zypper to never try to install a certain version of the kernel?
Yes, you can lock it out. Or rather, lock-in some version. /etc/zypp/zypp.conf: ## Comma separated list of kernel packages to keep installed in parallel, if the ## above multiversion variable is set. Packages can be specified as ## 2.6.32.12-0.7 - Exact version to keep ## latest - Keep kernel with the highest version number ## latest-N - Keep kernel with the Nth highest version number ## running - Keep the running kernel ## oldest - Keep kernel with the lowest version number (the GA kernel) ## oldest+N - Keep kernel with the Nth lowest version number ## ## Note: This entry is not evaluated by libzypp, but by the ## purge-kernels service (via /sbin/purge-kernels). ##
Is there a newer version of the kernel which I could try?
Yes, at... sorry, I don't remember the exact name of the repo, but someone using it will surely chime in ;-) - -- Cheers Carlos E. R.
