The journal thing in Linux is getting closer to what Windows does with logs. That's my fear. I'm unable to find events in Windows system log, that I know they are there.
Windows is a special case, they do make some things as difficult as possible to hide things they don't want you to see.
The thing in Windows is that you have to know the correct "token" to do the filter, or you find nothing. Like getting the output on a particular index in journalctl. Either you know how the particular item you seek for is indexed, or you don't get anything. There is no text see it all output.
Yes, but journalctl will tell you - see my post about <tab><tab> -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
