Open konsole, select settings from top menu, then Edit Current Profile and see if MC was hammering itself into the konsole profile. (It shouldn't do that, IMHO.) You can use manage profiles, from that same menu location to create a new one, or switch to another one).
Thank you. Yes there it is, i first looked at a normal konsole unaffected by mc just yet. It reads Profile name: Default and command name: /bin/bash As soon as I started midnight commander from start menu, the profile name field becomes emtpy, and command name into /usr/bin/mc or such. I didnt check all those endless other settings in the Edit current profile window, so I can not say if it does other stuff. Is this supposed to be the desired and normal behavior of mc taking the profile settings of konsole as hostage? Who is coding these bugs aka behaviors? ;( I still had open some unaffected konsoles next to the mc affected one. I closed those normal konsole as last, maybe allowing them to write their settings or profile stuff last to make them authoritative and rebooted the whole system, then the system comes back up and kde with konsole works normally without needing to remove mc package via zypper and without that error message in konsole. I wonder who or what cleans this stuff up in which ways and if all of this is considered to be normal and wanted behavior? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
