I have an AOC I2770PQ monitor and have got myself into a Catch 22 situation. The monitor has an input selection feature, chosen from the OSD menu, and I have mistakenly set it to DVI. The computers I have available can only provide either HDMI or D-SUB (VGA) outputs, so I need to change the input selector on the monitor menu. Unfortunately the monitor also has power-saving features and in particular if it detects no input on the chosen input, it goes into power-saving mode. In power-saving mode the OSD menu cannot be activated AFAICT.
Apart from joining me in swearing at AOC's product designers, does anybody happen to have any potentially productive suggestions?
Thanks for all the replies everybody.
Ralph's suggestion gave me a clue. Pressing the '+' button didn't do anything but pressing the 'Auto' button brought up an input selection menu, even in power-save mode. Thanks very much.
Part of my difficulty is that I don't know where I've put the manual and I can't make the download work from AOC's site. Still, finding it is now a problem for another day :)
Cheers, Dave
Dave, I wasn't trying to be abrupt with my reply about the manual as I assumed you had it. I got a copy by googling your model number, don't remember what url it came from. I was trying to convey that monitors usually have a setup menu item that does what you needed. I'll try to do better next time.
Fred
Hi Fred, No offence taken and please accept my apologies - I wasn't intending to criticise your answer in any way. I was just fishing for a URL to download it, but an email copy as Carlos suggests would be equally welcome.
