Ah!
Does it synchronise with my router?
only if *you* configure it to do so.
No surprises there, then. My router (Draytek Vigor 2830Vn) can get it's time from an internet ntp server, but I can't see anything to suggest that it will act as a server to LAN clients. YaST can configure ntp, but it requires SuSEFirewall, which I don't have as I am using Shorewall. Seems to be a Catch 22 situation.
