Under the latest Tumbleweed snapshot, I found that when expanding a folder in detail view in Dolphin search results (this is with Baloo totally disabled), the folder shows as no files being in that folder. If you move the folder to the trash and then view it in detail view, the files appear, as they also will when viewing the folder in detail view when not in Dolphin search results. It only does this with certain folders, depending on what appears to be the type of content that's in the folder. I'm trying to figure this out right now, as what file types/and or file names (if that really is the culprit) would be causing this odd issue. Can anyone else test this and see if they get the same result? This could pose a dangerous scenario, because somebody ends up deleting a folder they think is empty which in actuality it just appeared empty.

Does that dolphin search rely on the locate feature of fileutils? Maybe try again after root runs updatedb? If you don't see a LOT of disk activity when you do that search you can bet it is relying on some index rather than "find". -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
