Your way works with the 'new' Application Launcher Menu. The option to add to panel is missing for those of us who use the 'Classic' menu style. I suppose we could move from one to the other to utilise this function.
If I add a Konsole, I can then start one with the icon. But it goes away so I cannot start another. Of course I could make a tab and pull it off the konsole to the desktop. But what about apps that you want more than one of that don't do this?
Roger: I can't speak to Leap,(too busy to install now), but KDE 4.14 when you launch something, an icon for the application appears in the task manager. Right clicking the icon for the running Konsole that appears in the task bar, will show the option to start another instance. As far as I can tell, this works for every application, except those applications that deny a second instance, like thunderbird. This also works the same when classic style is in use or Application Launcher style is in use. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
