Disappointing :-(
How, with your purchase?
I suppose so. I was under the impression that 1T and over were all 4K.
What is date of manufacture on WD10EALS-00Z8A0 WD-WCATR4740139? 4k didn't get fully in gear until early 2011.
I'd have to open the box and take it out of the carrier. Its a Dell chassis. HMMMMMM. The drive is about 18 months old - that is I bought it about about 18 months ago. How long it had been on the store shelf, in transit, ... anyone's guess. This was actually a replacement. The first one I bought from there failed. they grumbled until I brought them 6 pages of 5 columns of bad block listing, told them there were another 50+ pages to go ... And yes, I've done this with USB sticks and SD cards. The issue isn't to give the vendor grief, its that I want a reliable media for the FS. I /expect/ drives to have some bad sectors but I expect the firmware to handle it. -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
