Hello List ,
- are we so much better off with Grub2 : Wasn't LILO all right ?
I think of it in terms of what LILO cannot do. Technology moves on. My machine doesn't have a floppy disk. I can't boot from the floppy. My laptop not only doesn't have a floppy, it doesn't have a built in CD/DVD drive like my old one. My desktop doesn't have the ability to use IDE drives. My tablet not only doesn't have a floppy or a built in CD/DVD reader, but it doesn't have sockets for SATA never mind IDE. I bet my tablet doesn't use LILO. To enjoy the benefits of the new you need to let go of the old. -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
