Which is the best filesystem? Ext2, Ext4 without journalling or other?
What's a recommended partitioning layout in case I want to keep my applications but reinstall the base system one day? With only 16 GiB, you should go for ext4 in a single partition, no /home partition. And without journalling is a good idea, too, but you will have to manually create it, I think.
Does the live image support persistent settings? Yes, it does. But very limited updates, none to the core.
Also remember that the usb stick won't last very long. As soon as you start rw-ing stuff, it fails. Best to get one of those small 2.5" mechanical disks and velcro it to the lid. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
