Hi All,
I installed dictd from the opensuse-education repo using zypper (Thanks OpenSUSE Education!!!) It installed fine but without a default configuration, i.e.:
carlh@linux:~> dict example 'dict.conf' doesn't specify any dict server
This is for my own personal use and the system isn't a server.
'dict.conf' is the client configuration. 'dictd.conf' is the server configuration. You can have a local server, that is queried by your local clients: site nimrodel.valinor access { allow * } database web1913 { data "/usr/lib/dict/web1913.dict.dz" index "/usr/lib/dict/web1913.index" access { allow * } } database jargon { data "/usr/lib/dict/jargon.dict.dz" index "/usr/lib/dict/jargon.index" access { allow * } } I don't have the dictd service installed, but I did once and I still have the config laying around. I even have the dictionaries, from 2005. It made sense with slow internet. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)
