These KDE devs must have all moved to Colorado where the weed is cheap and legal because they are getting more and more jolly with the version numbers.
Very large jump in package numbers does seem odd.
I've asked around in KDE circles that I know in person, and on answer I got, I'll not remark: "Well, the original plan for the new version numbers was 2-digit year, dot, 2-digit month, dot, patch number. But some where in 2014 that was ignored or forgotten. Lets look at 2015, and see what happens."
