I'm testing openSUSE on VPS in the attempt to replace Debian on my server and would like to deploy OpenSMTPD/Dovecot instead of Postfix/Dovecot/MySQL.
There are few versions available in OBS, but considering there are OpenSMTPD packages available for Arch, Gentoo, Debian, Ubuntu...I wonder if there is any plan to embrace it and include it into official openSUSE release?
Sincerely, Gour
ATM, OpenSMTPD is only in a 'user' project (e.g. home:Alexander_Naumov). Before inclusion of a package into "factory" and thus the next release can be considered, it has to be supported by / commited to a offical devel-project, here: "server:mail"
No devel-project, no factory, no offical release.
Try to contact Alexander_Naumov and ask him to commit the package OpenSMTPD to the project server:mail.
If someone else wants to maintain OpenSMTPD he can of course either copy Alexanders work or do it again and submit to server:mail. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
