Ah, you have changed the location _inside_ the inbox namespace, so that it only applies to "inbox".
DO NOT BE MISLED!
The name of the _namespace_ is "inbox"
Think back to the White Knight's song.
What's that? :-???
See chapter 8 of "Alice Through the Looking Glass". The name of the song is called 'Haddocks' Eyes'. That is what the name is called. The name really is 'The Aged Aged Man'. The song is called `Ways And Means': but that's only what it's called, you know. The song really is `A-sitting On A Gate': and the tune's my own invention. As I said, none of this is strange to C programmers. Heck, they might even autoincrement it!
But those are three quite arbitrary strings and need not be in any way related. One is a name, anther is a label and the third is an address.
Ah, ok....
The point is that you are SUPPOSED to set the location _inside_ the namespace definition.
But the dovecot people don't.
What 'dovecot people'? And it WORKS. The verb is always stringer than the noun.
They configure it here: /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-mail.conf, outside of any namespace. They say:
# Location for users' mailboxes. The default is empty, which means that Dovecot
Yes, and I tried that originally and found, as James is finding, that it didn't work. The VERB and the noun. I'm mixing both maildir and mbox; I'm using fetchmail from a number of sites. In fact I'm doing this all without Postfix as I described in an earlier posting. -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
