I have had a few bad blocks show up on my laptop hard-drive. I have a new drive (larger) and I would like to duplicate/clone my entire drive
If the old predates 4k sectors internally while the new is as most from the past 3 years with 4k internally, you probably should not to create a new clone, but instead configure the new normally, format the filesystems, and use then rsync or copy from old to new. Performance could noticeably suffer if you do a true clone from a 512 byte to a 4k sector HD. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
