Is anyone using QGIS with Open Street Map data? Specifically with the QGIS version available from OBS. Although I am interested in oS 12.3, experiences on any oS release are welcome.
In my case, none of the built-in OSM functions/ICONS are appearing anywhere. Hi Roger,
Can you please be more specific on the version of QGIS you use? Is it 1.8, 2.0.1 or master? I guess you are installing from Application:Geo right?
Best, Angelos
Just updated to the latest qgis. It gives the following message, which is what I got from 1.8 as well: Couldn't load PyQGIS. Python support will be disabled. Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 1, in File "/usr/share/qgis/python/qgis/__init__.py", line 63, in from qgis import core RuntimeError: the sip module implements API v10.0 to v10.1 but the qgis.core module requires API v9.2 Python version: 2.7.3 (default, Apr 14 2012, 08:58:41) [GCC] QGIS version: 2.0.1-Dufour 'Dufour', exported Python path: ['/usr/share/qgis/python', '/home/roger/.qgis2/python','/home/roger/.qgis2/python/plugins', '/usr/share/qgis/python/plugins', '/usr/lib/python27.zip', '/usr/lib/python2.7', '/usr/lib/python2.7/plat-linux2', '/usr/lib/python2.7/lib-tk', '/usr/lib/python2.7/lib-old', '/usr/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload', '/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages', '/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/PIL', '/usr/local/lib/python2.7/site- packages', '/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/gtk-2.0', '/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/wx-2.8-gtk2-unicode'] I guess the OSM stuff required python? The Python SIP is whatever oS installs.
