The only choices provided where to not install it or break mod_fastcgi - of course, no point in installing a broken package
The problem appears to be that the module, as built depends on a library that is neither on my system nor included in the package as made available for download. I have no idea what package libc.so.6 would be found in, so I am stuck.
Did you pick the correct version of mod_fastcgi? You said your system is 12.1, did you also pick version 12.1 of mod_fastcgi?
He did but it apparently requires glibc-2.15 and his system doesn't meet that. I told him how to get the glibc version but haven't heard back. He responded off-list.
mod_fastcgi should have been built against the correct libc for 12.1, so something else is amiss. Maybe he needs to apply the latest upgrades for 12.1.
I routinely apply the updates the OS (?) notifies me about. Are there likely upates that the update tool wouldn't know about? rpm -q glibc identifies it as 2.14.1-14.27.1x86_64 Cheers Ted -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
