(Maybe, best would be to look in the documentation for your Software or ask the developer .. :)
I will keep you posted..
Well, whaddoyounoo? HWinfo did list the device perfectly after updating the kernel from Kernel:HEAD, but in the usb applet still only the mass storage device was listed, and nothing more. After not being satisfied, i googled for all i could find about the Huawei e173 modem, and opensuse... In one post somewhere on a forum i read about the NM, that would show the configuration dialog.. So, i opened NM, and guess what: Mobile broadband modem was listed, and a very sophisticated gui showed every provider in the whole world! I was totally amazed by that... But then i wanted to get rid of the gui that could not connect. The Ndisdrivers only went to opensuse112.. so now i understand, because 122 has totally nothing to do with that almost obsolete version, compared the changes that were made... There was an uninstall icon (like in M$), which i clicked. A terminal window opened and a dialog said: you have to be root, press any key to continue, after pressing, the window was gone.. NP, i thought, login as root in another session, and do it from there... Now root can not login anymore, i think that is also being changed, as a safety precaution or something... I went to the install directory and searched for the uninstaller file, but i forgot the command to uninstall... If i remember correctly, is a foreign app not gone when the install directory is removed? Or is there a command to uninstall? Kind Regards. -- Have a nice day, Oddball.
