kmail very often hangs in SuSE 12.1 and then I have to kill it. :-(
The KDE 4.8.3 stuff is currently downloading. Is there some kind of ISO image
which makes it easier to update KDE4 on OpenSuSE 12.1?
After reading some tests and postings on the Web I am also thinking about changing to evolution
as mail/calendar tool.
But afaics it is not so easy to import old emails from kmail to
evolution.

After some googling I found http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Distro:/Stable/openSUSE_12.1/x86_64/> Are these the correct (current?) repos for SuSE 12.1 64Bit?
no, that one contains KDE 4.7.4 that was released with openSUSE 12.1. you'll find 4.8.3 in these two locations: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/48/ for the (supposedly) stable version, and http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Distro:/Factory/ for the 'K:D:F' i.e. KDE-factory version. (this has nothing to do with oS factory.) while K:D:F isn't recommended for daily or serious use, i usually fare better with it. YMMV, of course. --phani. --To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
