Just a quick question about using yast vs zypper for installing software...
I usually use yast2 to install software because I like the graphical interface. I noticed that if there is a dependency conflict yast will give a graphic popup with choices on how to resolve the conflict.
The only issue I have with Yast is that I can't select, copy, and paste in order to troubleshoot if there is a problem. But I can do that in a konsole, so I am wanting to get more familiar with zypper.
YaST can save the list to file.
So the question is, does zypper analyze and prompt for choices if you try and install something and there is a dependency conflict? Or do you have to know in advance what the dependencies are and do all that manually?
It prints the question and you have to enter 1, 2, 3 to select one. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
