There are more Mail clients to make a workaround on these issues. Those will help you to keep productive.
Indeed.
But the problem for openSUSE is not that kmail was faulty, but that openSUSE was released with a _known_ faulty component that was known that would cause lost data for users.
That's my only worry. That my trust in openSUSE was thus broken.
I already understand your point and discomfort. I could agree with you because in some way openSUSE fame about usability, stability, trustful and availability is affected by those issues in some way. It was not a big surprise for me because I am always testing and considering it's a work in progress. All other distros are having similar issues with those changes too. In my "own" point of view we are a beta testers at different levels disregards we call it "final release", "release candidate", "beta", "factory". On the other hand, openSUSE is giving a big jump to the next generation tools (systemd, snapper, grub2, etc.) and Desktop Environments (at the same time) are doing it too (i.e. Akonadi, Nepomuk, etc.). Including KDE some code rewrite from scratch.Chances are to mess up. Just a small excuses. At this moment I will not mention GNOME changes. At the end, I am sure we will overcome these drawback to redefine a leadership position on community Linux world as it was in old good days.
