Hi From kde, could this:
ctrl+alt+f1 login sudo init 3 sudo rcsmb start sudo rcnmb start <watch the movie> How are you going to watch a movie in text mode? I know that xine has an ascii text mode display, but I would not care to watch a movie that way except to show that it can be done. And I very much doubt you are refering to that. Hi
I connect to a wireless multimedia nas via samba so that everyone can view the movie on a larger screen with better sound. I drop to rl3 because otherwise the playback is jerky.
Any ideas for a script? Cheers, L x
Hi Just use chvt to get to a tty, so write your commands and call it (the script) with kdesu. You ay not have to init 3, unless it's an underpowered system. -- Cheers Malcolm °¿° (Linux Counter #276890) SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 (x86_64) Kernel 3.0.13-0.19-default up 2:43, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.02, 0.05 CPU Intel i5 CPU M520@2.40GHz | Intel Arrandale GPU -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
