Thank you. Make sure you are setting the kdm theme as root in yast. If not, you will not have permission to modify /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager which is where the kdm

Thank you! Yesterday I changed theme using kde systemsettings. It asked me to type root's password. KDE systemsettings really changed "/usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc" and set another theme. But this way doesn't work. Only DISPLAYMANAGER_KDM_THEME variable helped me.
