so I saw on another thread to delete the /home/george/.local/share/akonadi file for a calendar problem. I did that, and kmail started up fine.
I set up to reconfigure my accounts, I don't need them to be exactly the same as was before, and so I configured them and they all connect to the server.
However nothing at all shows up in the left side window of kmail that should show the accounts and folders. I have 2 imap accounts and 2 pop3 accounts. On the imap accounts, I have "show serverside subscription" checked, but if I click on the box to show which subscriptions to show, the list is blank for both accounts.
Any ideas on where to look next or what to do?

Just an additional note - I shutdown and restarted my OS, and then tried to open kmail again. Now I can see my imap accounts, but I get the error KMail encountered a fatal error and will terminate now. The error was: Failed to fetch the resource collection. The error box won't allow me to do anything except hit ok, and then kmail terminates. So I found this thread on http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/applications/4678... Note #6 gave these instructions: 1) Just in case of further problems, back up your emails... I did it by compressing the folder ~/home/.kde4/share/apps/kmail maybe it is a good idea to do it too with the KDE addresses and calendar files (under /kabc and /korganizer) 2) Delete Remove the following files in ~/home/.kde4/share/config/ : kmail-migratorrc kmail2rc 3) Now in terminal or Konsole, try again with "kmail-migrator –interactive" and follow the steps.
