Because a KDE user of Firefox configured it that way? Oh, you mean 'out of the box' on a virgin install? Surely Konqueror is the default browser for KDE, not Firefox. And surely an app that uses the gnomic settings ... oh right, we've now got GIO or something so all the experience and knowledge we gained about configuring Firefox and Thunderbird for KDE users has been changed.
