Hi, any comments against using XFS on a 2.5" USB disk drive?. I'll be using it for additional storage on my laptop, I've read that a journal cleanup/recreation is needed if I'm switching between 32bit/64bit installations, any other known issue?.
I use them.
And I'm not aware of the journal trouble you mention.

I've seen it reported in some forum posts, many of them referencing the Ubuntu Wiki (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XFS) "The journal is currently not 32-bit / 64-bit portable. Before mounting a xfs prevously used on 32-bit linux in 64-bit linux (or different arch) the journal has to be emptied using xfs_repair."
