Hi,
I installed OpenSUSE 11.4 Release Candidate 1 64bit (Gnome Desktop version) into VirtualBox under Ubuntu 10.10 64bit.
Seems like there are many problems with this RC. - Many of the icons in the menu are missing. - The Gnome panel loses its icons after rebooting. (changing theme seems to fix this issue temporarily) - Running Add/Remove Software disappears when updating.
Anyone else having this issues? Guess I'll wait until RC2 is released.
Jesse
This is a question best asked on the Factory mailing list. Check here for the known annoying bugs http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Most_annoying_bugs_11.4_dev And... I'm running the Gnome 11.4RC1 on VirtualBox at the office, and on a netbook laptop at home with no problems outside the known bugs/annoyances - ie I haven't yet see any of the issues you've noted here.
