Hi, I still have problems with the following issue, with the latest updates on 11.3 (at least since kernel 2.6.34.7-0.4) and with 11.4 MS5:
I have done a fresh openSUSE 11.3 (32bit) install on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M58p 6234-1AG (C2D E8400, Q45 Express, GMA 4500, 82567LM-3). ... With the normal Kernel 2.6.34.7-0.2-desktop the system works, but if I try to but with the Xen-Kernel 2.6.34.7-0.2-xen, the boot begins, but suddenly stops in a very early state.
The last messages I see are:
Doing fast boot Creating ...
Then the screen goes blank and finaly in sleep mode. To reboot I have to power off and then power on again the system :-(
With this old installation, after changing in the menu.lst from "kernel /xen.gz vgamode=0x317" to "kernel /xen.gz vga=mode-0x317" it worked, but finaly I made a "zypper up" and I was not able to get running this system with the Xen-kernel again. Is there nobody who has an idea why this problem occurs and how to fix it? I can't believe that this problem exists in the SuSE-kernel (or where ever) since some updates of 11.3 and still is not fixed in the 11.4 alpha version :-( I'm quite sure that the problem is the Intel onboard graphic, because I have the same problem on my ThinkPad X60s with Intel onboard graphic, while it works on all other ThinkPads with ATI graphic card. And if I plug a PCI VGA-card in my ThinkCentre M58p, the Xen-kernel also works out of the box without any problems.
