BUT, I am still w/o support for my new Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch. Is there some kind soul available that has attained functionality of the tablet in 11.2 that could lend assistance.
I think the instructions found here:
http://lizards.opensuse.org/2010/09/23/wacom-bamboo-pen-and-opensuse-11-3/
Should also work on 11.2
This is what I was following, but 11.2 xorg-x11-server-7.4-61.65.1.x86_64 is reported X to be < 1.7 and the package, linuxwacom-0.8.8-10.tar.bz2, which is supposed to be for X < 1.7 after compiling reports that it is for X > 1.7. Also it does not provide replace the slink to weak-updates?? I have booted kernel 2.6.37-rc6-default and have: 08:55 wahoo:~ > modprobe -l |grep wacom kernel/drivers/input/tablet/wacom.ko kernel/drivers/input/touchscreen/wacom_w8001.ko kernel/drivers/hid/hid-wacom.ko but the tablet does not respond. will try compiling the drivers for the present kernel and see if there is any difference. tks, -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
