because when i enter the address from ifconfig eth0, which is in my case: 192.168.1.110, i get connection refused. i use command: $telnet ipaddress[enter]
Testing imap? You have to specify the port. Without that, it uses the default port, and that would be attended by the telnetd daemon which in openSUSE is not installed normally, ssh is preferred.
