Hello SuSE people I have been trying to download theopenSuse 11.3 iso for three days and every time it stops prematurely. I successively tried the SuSE repository, then a french one (much slower) and I am stuck at my secont attempt from http://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/opensuse/distribution/11.3/iso/openSUSE-11... -DVD-i586.iso (de, prio 130) Which appears to be the fastest : 14 hours 27' only ! ! in my case.
The iso should be 4 Go and I have only 3.7 Go ( 3,961,190,992 Bytes exactly). It is y best success until now, but I suppose it is not complete and cannot be used as is. I am using Firefox 3.6.10 with OpenSuse 11.2. Is there a way of completing the unfinished download ? It would be the best solution considering the time it takes. Or should I download it with another browser such as Konqueror ? Or is there a better repository available from France ? Thanks for advising me
You're not trying to download onto a FAT filesystem by any chance are you? That has a 4GB file size limit, so the DVD iso is too big. Anyway, openSUSE 11.2 has aria2c available, use that or Firefox "DownThemAll" to download the metalink as Jan said. That will guarantee a correct download.
