I saw this go by this morning when booting my laptop. (The laptop is called "bigboy".) BOOT TIME, early on, well before anyone logs in and when I thought KDE starts. This is the line Aug 18 06:55:45 BigBoy kernel: [ 123.963792] kded4[3040]: segfault at 53492e52 ip b6d172d4 sp bfa85b30 error 4 in libQtCore.so.4.6.3[b6cb8000+274000] It appears between mounting file systems (the automount of nfs and smb) and the initiialization of the graphics card. I don't understand this. I thought Qt was the infrastructure for KDE and other applications. Are there other non-application layers that use it? Why is 'kded4' running at this point? Can anyone shed any light on why this is happening - especially during boot.
