I've got a laptop that needs the STA driver (or at least with 11.2 it did). Is there a secret to getting it tow work with 11.3? == background I've installed the appropriate broadcom module from packman:
rpm -qa |grep broad broadcom-wl-5.60.48.36-7.pm.16.4.i586 broadcom-wl-kmp-desktop-5.60.48.36_k2.6.34.0_12-7.pm.16.4.i586
I'm running the desktop kernel:
uname -a Linux linux-mdju 2.6.34-12-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2010-06-29 02:39:08 +0200 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
I've got the wl.ko module, but possibly in the wrong place?
find /lib/modules -name wl.ko /lib/modules/2.6.34-12-desktop/updates/wl.ko
But insmod is not working:
sudo /sbin/insmod wl.ko insmod: can't read 'wl.ko': No such file or directory
I've also tried rebooting and it doesn't load.
