Trying to run k3b to copy data. First problem: k3b says there is no writable optical drive in the machine. If I put any disk in the _DVD_ drive, the machine (but not k3b) says it finds optical _CD writer_. (CD would be OK, that's what I'd like to burn.)
At any rate, I drag the /home directory to the project area, as per the instructions in the ///usr/share/docmanual... but then there is no "file+save" to name the file.
Ignoring that, I select Burn. The Data Project window opens, as shown in the instructions. I select Create Image, Remove Image, and Verify written data. In the writing tab, I can't select the burn medium, the speed, etc. Going thru all of the instructions, I come again to the instruction, Burn. It has a line thru it, and cannot be selected.
I am trying to save my /home directory before I wipe out SUSE and install something more friendly. Then you all will be rid of me. Any help out there?
Thanx. Doug

Hi, seems to me that k3b has some problems recently. I also have k3b/kde4 installed as a separate program, and if I select that program instead of k3b, I don't have the problems and am able to burn whatever I wish.
