Hi all,
Ok, dumb question, but I can't figure out how to install Alsa-lib 1.0.24 on my 11.2 64bit system. First of all I can't find 1.0.24 (or .23). When I tell Yast to find it all I get are .21 or .22 listings. Can someone help me here?
newer alsa lives in multimedia:libs repositories on the OBS.
Thanks for this, but I don't understand it at all. Which multimedia:libs repositories? And what is OBS?
Does anyone know if this version problem will be fixed in 11.3? If so, I'll just wait two weeks and upgrade.
It is a Build Service. Add the following repositories: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/libs/openSUSE_11.x http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/audio:/KMP/openSUSE_11... It is still not the latest version (on my 11.1 system I have Alsa 1.0.23 from these repositories). I would expect that it will always be like that. Official versions of open SUSE will be a bit behind special projects, like Alsa. If one need latest version, he/she will need to either build it from the source or use packages from Build Service. -- Mark Goldstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
